Electric Greenhouse Heaters
The popular choice for a small greenhouse. There are many advantages of an electric greenhouse heater-no fumes, no transport of fuel and good thermostatic control. Fan heaters also have the added benefit of circulating the air more quickly. Warm air is provided in the winter, cool air in the summer. The size of electric greenhouse heater you require depends on the area to be heated. To be kept at 40 degrees Fahrenheit you will need a greenhouse heater with a wattage 10 times the surface area. e.g. 8ft x 6ft greenhouse will have a surface area of approximately 200 sq.ft so will need a 2000w(2kW) greenhouse heater. To maintain a temperature around 55 degree F approximately twice the amount of heat will be required.
