Glass Cloche
A wide range of glass cloche is available from Access Garden Products. A cloche is a small structure designed to be placed over individual plants or small groups of plants in the garden. Unlike greenhouses, cloches are designed to be moved from place to place in the garden, covering different plants at different times of the year.
The Victorian cloches available from Access Garden Products are made from cast iron, which has been galvanised to reduce rusting. The glazed lights of the Victorian cloche are then fitted with real glass, puttied in and hand painted.
For individual plants, glass bell cloches are available. Made from hand blown real glass, not cheap plastic the bell cloches available from the Access Garden Products site are available in two sizes: 250mm and 320mm diameter. The top of the glass cloche forms a rounded handle to facilitate removing the glass cloche from the plant.
For larger areas of the vegetable patch, a plastic cloche is available, covering an area of 4' wide and upto 8' in length. The plastic sides of the super cloche can be lifted to provide ventilation and easy access.
