The lean to Greenhouse
A Lean-to greenhouse is designed to go against a wall or even a sturdy fence. I has a number of advantages over a conventional greenhouse - it needs less space, as it doesn't need ground all the way round it; it is warmer, as the wall to which the Lean-to greenhouse is attached will absorb daytime heat and give it off at night; and a Lean-to greenhouse is cheaper, as the existing wall or fence forms one side of the structure.
Access Garden Products pioneered the use of compact sized Lean-to greenhouse models, with a Lean-to greenhouse range that is accessed from the outside via a series of sliding glass doors. This ensures that all of the space inside the Lean-to greenhouse is dedicated to growing, with no path to take up valuable space inside the Lean-to greenhouse. In fact with some models featuring a depth of just 21" (53cm) a Lean-to greenhouse from Access can be sited just about anywhere. If there is no suitable wall available, the Lean-to greenhouse can be positioned against a fence. The Lean-to greenhouse range is available in a number of heights and lengths to ensure there is a model for every space. The Lean-to mini greenhouse can even be customised in height and depth to exactly fit into a space.
An Access Lean-to greenhouse incorporates an adjustable shelving system. This is ideal for plants and seed trays, and can be removed when taller crops such as tomatoes are grown. Taller Lean-to greenhouse models have a removable centre staging for additional growing space.
A Lean-to greenhouse can be used just like a full sized greenhouse. They are ideal for over-wintering plants and bringing on seedlings and cuttings. A Lean-to greenhouse can also be used for protected crops such as Peppers, Cucumbers and Aubergines.
