The lean to Greenhouse
Lean-to greenhouses differ from freestanding greenhouses in that one side of the lean-to is formed by a wall or fence. Lean-to greenhouses have several advantages over conventional greenhouses - they need less space, as it doesn't need ground all the way round it; they are warmer, as Lean-to greenhouses wall will absorb daytime heat and give it off at night; and Lean-to greenhouses cost less, as the existing wall or fence forms one side of the structure.
Access Garden Products pioneered the use of smaller sized Lean-to greenhouses, with a Lean-to greenhouse range that is accessed from the outside via a series of sliding glass doors. This ensures that the Lean-to greenhouses have all of the space inside dedicated to growing, with no path to take up valuable space inside. In fact with some models featuring a depth of just 21" (53cm) Lean-to greenhouses in the Access range can be sited just about anywhere. If there is no suitable wall available, Lean-to greenhouses can be fitted to a fence. Lean-to greenhouses are available in a number of heights and lengths to ensure there is a model for every space. Lean-to mini greenhouses can even be customised in height and depth to exactly fit into a space.
Lean-to greenhouses manufactured by Access Garden products come with adjustable shelving. This is ideal for plants and seed trays, and can be removed when taller crops such as tomatoes are grown. Taller Lean-to greenhouses also have a removable centre staging for additional growing space.
Lean-to greenhouses can be used in the same way as a full sized greenhouse. They are ideal for over-wintering plants and bringing on seedlings and cuttings. In Summer Lean-to greenhouses can also be used to grow crops such as Peppers, Tomatoes and Aubergines.
